The Commander's Residence is of cultural significance. It is the oldest remaining building within Anglesea Barracks. It retains elements of significance related to medical technology of its period. Its simple georgian character is not weakened by successive interventions
It is included individually on the Register of the National Estate and as part of the Anglesea Barracks historic group.
